Film Ameriki Tawil

Film Ameriki Tawil is a play by Ziad AlRahbani written in 1982 and takes place in a mental institution in 1980, or 1979, or 1978 since the political situation had not changed throughout these years. The events revolve around the lives of eight patients who are meant to be representative of Lebanon’s post-war society.

This publication is a typographic interpretation of the play in which each character undergoes a different visual treatment. The script’s use of humor and repetition are showcased through typography and different visual treatments using spray paint.
